Operating since 1992, the Conover Center is Adult Life Programs’ Psychosocial Rehabilitation site. Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) is defined as:

“the process of facilitating an individual’s restoration to an optimal level of independent functioning in the community.  PSR invariably encourages persons to participate actively with others in the attainment of mental health and social competence goals."

FOCUS

Therapeutic programming is the central focus and an essential aspect of the Conover site.  To achieve the goal of PSR, a Person-Centered Plan is developed with each participant, outlining their desired goals and outcomes. Read our Case Studies to learn about the impact our programs can achieve.

FACILITIES and SERVICES

Activities to achieve these outcomes vary from person to person; however, they may include:  activities of daily living, participant council involvement, community living skills, educational activities, health and wellness promotion, communication activities, cultural activities, personal care, budgeting, interpersonal relations and self-advocacy.

Check out this month's menu and activities at the Conover Center.
