Donor Opportunities

You CAN have an impact on our future!

The work of the Adult Life Programs contributes toward a better life for our participants and their families. The support from those interested in improving the lives of the elderly and/or disabled residents of Alexander,

Burke, Caldwell, Catawba and Lincoln counties is vital for our continuation and growth. There are many ways to give.

General Donations

The services we provide are valuable. Your financial donations help us to continue to fulfill and grow our mission of “enabling adults to remain in their communities.” Donations to the General Fund will be used to meet the most urgent needs. Even though these most immediate needs may vary, there is still a continual need to improve our facilities, purchase new equipment, provide specialized training for staff and replenish craft and other activity supplies. Of course, if you have a particular interest in a certain center or program, your contribution can be designated to benefit your request.

North Carolina Community Foundation Endowment

Adult Life Programs has created an endowment fund to help ensure that the ministry of adult day care and other needed community adult services continues to grow along with the Catawba Valley’s aging and disabled population. This endowment fund was created within the framework of the organization to help secure its future and to provide, among other things, scholarship money for persons who cannot afford needed services. Individuals are encouraged not only to make periodic contributions to this fund but also to remember it when estate planning.

Volunteer

There are unlimited opportunities for interested individuals to volunteer at Adult Life Programs and volunteers are a vital part of our daily operations. Individual volunteers may led an activity or just spend time visiting with participants. Groups of volunteers often come to provide entertainment for the participants. The center staff can also use volunteers to help with office duties. So, if you have a particular gift you would like to share, including the gift of listening and conversing with others, please contact the Day Services Managers at each center to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
